What is sin.
From the bible passage above , the bible says sin is the transgression of the law. The law of God as we know is the ten commandment found in Exodus 20:8-20. Breaking this down further, this is what sin really means:
- Surrender to Satan’s authority
- Separation from God.
- Rebellion against God and give access to the devil.
Types of Sin
- Sin prompted by the flesh. Romans 8:13 . Satan will do all to tempt you with sins of the flesh. Things like immoral dressing, fornication, adultery, alcohol, eating of unclean foods. You will not see the damage at beginning, you will find yourself addicted and loosing focus on other things.
- Sins prompted by the kingdom of darkness which sincerely speaking can not be separated from the flesh. John 13:27. Most times the flesh manifest what was extensively or briefly conceived in the mind.
4 Ds of Sin
DISTRACT.
21st century is the era of premium distraction. With the explosion of social media, every vice that was usually concealed is now widely spread with just one click. Algorithms expose people to things they never bargained for. These distractions are evidently subtle until you become addicted. These are the various ways the devil distract us from spiritual focus.
- Entertainment: music, movie, games, all forms.
- lifestyle temporary pleasures of the world through the help of social media which has made it cool and trendy.
DESENSITIZATION.
This is achieved mostly through mass media and the deep fake. Through the use of psychological manipulation, fear stimuli, counterconditioning, graded exposure and relaxation. People develop complex behaviors and become out of touch of reality.
DIVISION
The devil achieves this through race, gender, Jews and gentiles ideology, ethnicity, language, and hypocrisy. All of which do not make sense considering we all come from the same source, God.
DECEPTION
This is the devils greatest weapon, deception. He deceives through illusion, counterfeits, lies and unforgiveness. Unwilling to forgive cages you and blocks spiritual freedom. He also uses unresolved traumas and spiritual blindness. Don’t continue in deception, fine solace in the word of God and set yourself free.
1 JOHN 3:5-10 KJV
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.
If you want to build a righteous life as a Christian, follow the process of this diagram. Add it to your journey and lifestyle. Trust me the things of God are not as complicated as the devil makes it to be. With God, most times a simple 1 + 1 equals a reasonable 2. This is true when it comes to human responsibilities. Therefore, Leave any complicated situation for God to handle.
